Exciting Project Based Learning field trip!
The Mount Mercy Science and Healthcare Academy returned to the SPCA this year for the Vet Medicine Intensive program. This was an amazing experience where the girls learned the job duties of vet assistants to vet techs to veterinarians.
They practiced terminology and dissecting techniques on gummy bears and participated in a vaccine and overpopulation simulation.
Then the students even suited up to view a spay operation on a kitten!
It was an exciting opportunity that we will not forget!
