We are truly left speechless by Amelia Cook, Student Director of the Mount Mercy Academy "Sparks," for her performance of her original song, "Underwater." Amelia not only wrote this piece entirely on her own, but after showing her peers her song, she was requested to arrange a vocal performance for her beloved live performance group to accompany her.
Amelia is only a junior and has been part of the Mount Mercy Academy "Sparks" since their reformation in 2021. The group was previously known as the "Melodears" and "Pure Magic Show Choir."
We are unbelievably proud of Amelia's vulnerability, intelligent display of talent, and positive outlook on her experience as just another human going through this thing we call life.
